The cardiology department at Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care can help to optimize the care of dogs and cats with heart disease by performing complex diagnostics, determining an ideal treatment plan, and providing comprehensive follow-up; however, it does not offer all of the important services provided by your primary care veterinarian. It is important to continue to see your family veterinarian for preventative care and other health problems.
Meet our Cardiologist Dr. Keith Blass, DVM, MS, DACVIM.
Certain breeds of dogs and cats, such as Boxer Dogs, Doberman Pinschers, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Maine coon cats, and Ragdoll cats, are known to be at a higher risk of heart disease. Our cardiology team is one of only a few in Long Island able to screen your animal for heart problems prior to breeding.
We understand what your pet means to your family and we will always strive to provide the best possible care.
